TypeSwitcher for Windows ships as a standard setup executable for 64-bit Windows 10 and 11.Download the latest version (v1.1.30).

1. Run the setup

Double-click TypeSwitcher-Setup-1.1.30.exe. The installer is per-user — it does not require administrator rights and won't show a UAC prompt.

2. Launch TypeSwitcher

After installation TypeSwitcher starts automatically and its icon appears in the system tray (notification area). Unlike macOS, Windows requires no special permissions — TypeSwitcher uses the standard global keyboard hook, and all processing stays on your PC.

3. Check that conversion works

  1. Open Notepad or any app where you can type text.
  2. Switch to another keyboard layout and type hello. On a Russian layout this usually appears as руддщ.
  3. Select the mistyped text and use the conversion command from the TypeSwitcher tray menu. The result should be hello.

Updates
